A couple of cool indie game deals passed my way yesterday. First, Strange Adventures in Infinite Space is now free. It’s a quick to play (dare I say casual?) 4-X game and precursor to 2006 IGF award winner Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space. ASCIIpOrtal Now Complete
There have been several other 2d demakes of the popular Valve game Portal, but few have as enthusiasic a creator as ASCIIpOrtal.
At Cymon’s Games ASCIIpOrtal site you can download the game for free for Windows, Mac or Linux, as well as watch the video of the creator effusively explaining how the game and its portals work.
Square Enix and PopCap join Forces for Gyromancer →
“Gyromancer is a cool puzzle/RPG hybrid that uses Bejeweled Twist’s game mechanic at the heart of its battle system,” said Jason Kapalka, Chief Creative Officer and co-founder of PopCap. “We’ve worked with Square Enix as a distribution partner in Japan for several years, and it was fun to collaborate with them in a more creative way on Gyromancer.”
